About Tiffany

Tiffany Collazo is a Puerto Rican Mezzo-Soprano, most notable in Texas, North Florida, and Minnesota for her various operatic roles which include Carmen in La Tragédie de Carmen, Giovanna Seymour in Anna Bolena, Charlotte in Werther, Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte, The Old Lady in Candide, and Angelina in Rossini’s La Cenerentola to name a few. Her concert soloist experience comprises of works such as Handel’s Messiah, the Armed Mass for Peace, and Schubert’s Serenade. Tiffany received her Bachelors in Music Performance from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor as well as a Masters Degree from Florida State University in Voice Performance, where she also taught voice as a Graduate Assistant

One of Tiffany’s passions is community outreach. Many of her operatic community outreaches include over 50 performances of John Davies Children’s Operas which include The Blue Lady in Pinocchio, Ernesto in Billy Goats Gruff, and Mama Bear in Goldilocks and the Three Bears. She also premiered in a new children’s opera arranged by International Bass-Baritone George Hogan, and “The Farmer and the Dell”, in which she portrayed Carmen the Cat. Tiffany has most recently been in collaboration as a Resident Artist with Opera San Antonio and featured in “Opera on the Road” a tour through South Texas, Great day SA Kens 5 local news promoting San Antonio Library Opera Performances, and public concerts such as “Opera under the Stars”. Full operatic performances with the company include Pagliacci, the premier of their first Spanish-Language opera Maria de Buenos Aires, and Pirates of Penzance. This season she has also continued to perform as their Resident Teaching Artist reaching more than 6,550 students through their “Opera in Schools” presentations. Tiffany also continues to teach locally as a private voice teacher.
